Zip and unzip the folder using 7-zip

In this post, we will be learning how to zip a folder with files and how to extract the files from the zipped file using open source 7-zip

Creating test.zip using 7-Zip

  1. Right click the test folder
  2. on the context menu, choose 7-zip > Add to “test.zip”
  3. test.zip will be created

Extracting files using 7-Zip

  1. Right click on test.zip file
  2. on the context menu, choose 7-Zip > Extract to “test\”
  3. You would see test folder would be created
